In two months COVID has killed more than flu does in its worst year. So it’s more deadly

COVID is a more durable virus and therefore substantially more contagious

COVID can be carried and transmitted asymptomatically.

All of these are material differences from flu.

Frankly, I’m surprised you choose to die on this hill. Scripture is really clear on this point, IMHO
