Talk about setting low expectations via failure and then barely exceeding them. The bar of acceptance needs to be way above that, particularly with the prospects of likely sliding backwards drastically the season after that.

Maybe he doesn’t get fired with a 19-12 season, but that would cement his fate that he wouldn’t succeed here and he would only survive based on our cratered programs lack of expectations. Effectively it would be the end of his era even if he stuck around another season.
