saw in person? Personally, I think it was the '67 Riverview Gardens mythical state championship team. If I remember correctly, they had two running backs named Gunning and McDonough. Watching them run their power sweep was like watching the Greenbay Packers with Paul Hornung and Jim Taylor. My alma mater, St. Charles, was won of the teams that got steamrolled by that duo.

I might be wrong about this, but I believe both Gunning and McDonough ran for more than a thousand yards that year. Or maybe it just seemed that way.
