If Williams is good enough, we need her to start for her size. Then I think Blackwell, Dufficy, and Dickson will all start. That only leaves 1 more starting position open. Is it possible that Hayley Frank won’t even be a starter, but will turn into more of a 6th man? That would be quite a shock after the expectations when Frank came here. But if Dembele turns out to be the point guard we never really ever had here, why wouldn’t we start her? I know that’s a lot of pressure for a true freshman. But on paper we have a ton of talent next year, the key is how well they fit together, and can we put each of them into positions that mirror their strengths. Or will we have multiple players playing out of their natural position, like this year.
Green showed she could be valuable in a reserve role this year, and certainly earned more playing time. But with the players coming in she could have even less playing time next year. To me the Aussie, Smith, is kind of a wild card. Don’t know what kind of impact she will have as a freshman. Her video tape looked pretty good too.
