Thanks to the way Babs had handled the process, making sure the opening was posted for X number of days ect. meant more qualified candidates withdrew from the running. Mizzou was still a good pretty job at that point.

I remember him making the comment how frustrating it was that he didn't have the time with his players at the college level like he did in the pro's due to classes. DUH. He should have known that from the get-go.

I wonder had he came in and established the Woody bone right from the start and committed to it early, he might have been able to recruit to it and by year four we'd be in better shape.

Wasn't meant to be.
