repeating for years now that he is "bringing in billions" from China. When those billions are being "brought in" from Americans. Tariffs can function at times as deterrents. They are sht economic development.

But my issue has been that Mr Trump again and again crows that he has brought and is bringing in billions from the Chinese. It is a flat-out lie.

As for "looting producers" - I propose that said taxes are and should be used to reduce producers of externalizing costs.
