but there are tens of thousands of afflicted, and from that it can be extrapolated how many afflicted were hospitalized. It doesn't take the entire population to know this, just as we don't know the entire population of those with the flu, but yet can still make reasonably accurate ranges.
To say there aren't significant, serious impacts is foolish. That's because the moment we get a critical mass (1 million or so) infected in the U.S., we are going to see a massive overload of the ERs in this country.
