I didn't say anything about intentionally offending anyone. But honestly, my question was vague in that regard.

The question is in essence, if you don't know with whom you are speaking and you don't know his or her beliefs, ideology and priorities, how do you know what not to say?

Must you be so very careful NOT TO OFFEND? Can you just speak your mind without being provocative, just being honest, or must you walk on egg shells so as not to even risk offending someone?

Do you think most libs are that way? Do you think most libs walk on egg shells so as not to offend conservatives, christians, trump supporters....?

On college campusses, Rs must be careful for their own safety if they say something that offends, while loud mouthed screaming black lesbian socialists holler about racism, sexism and hatred for trump.

I just prefer honesty, even when blunt.
