Yeah you are right they probably could have been several spots higher.
The significance of polls this year are of course lessened as they play no role in seeding for us. Still, being ranked is a recruiting tool , so it matters.
It should be interesting to see how this team progresses this year .
The pitching looks at least respectable and there are at 4-5 real quality players in the lineup. The lack of depth is so noticeable that the need for the top of the lineup to carry the team probably means they’ll be inconsistent.
This observation is strictly low tech....Werts supposedly has had her swing retooled. I thought it looked different . I liked her approach last year , a constant home run threat.
