When he was a sophomore at Rock Bridge, they got to the final four in State. Playing in the semi final against CBC, Larry Hughes got a steal near midcourt and took off for the basket looking to dunk. Josh hustled back but had no way of getting in front of Hughes so he basically tackled him from behind to save his team the embarrassment of a monster dunk that was coming.
Of course it was called intentional, Hughes got free throws and CBC got the ball. They were already ahead by a good margin early in the game.
The irony was that Coach Scanlon in his after game interview said something to the affect that CBC played "thug" ball. What his player Josh had done was as "thug" as it comes.
