Alvin Miller did win 4 events (100, 120 HH, 300 IH, 200) for Kirkwood HS at the 1983 Missouri state meet which produced 40 points. This would have been good enough for KHS to win the state title. However, they had another performer that placed 3rd in the long jump giving them an additional 6 points. So the championship wasn't totally by himself as it was by Earl Denny of Golden City or Tony Cannon of Senath about the same time.
