expect the next nutshot any second.
A lot of people, especially media, are on the bandwagon that MU fans have to show up first for the teams to get good. It doesn't really work that way and it won't happen that way. But they also act like fans think the only winning is winning championships. Of course, there are some loons that think that way, but for the average MU fan, being good enough to be willing to come regularly is not actually all that great.
BBall....win 22-23 as the baseline and have some great years throws in.
Football....win 8 most years and have some 10's from time to time.
And no, in today's NCAA, those numbers are not particularly difficult, nor should they be compared to what we've done in the past. It's a different world from even 25 years ago.
The BIG kicker here is not necessarily how many games you win, but how well you avoid the major fvck up games.
It's not only about winning a certain number of games, it's winning on a consistent enough level that you create the expectation of a win.
When A&M or SCar come to town, this team must have developed an expectation to win the game. When you do that, you then have a hope that you can win when Kentucky comes to town. Not an expectation to beat them, but a chance. These may seem like small differences, but in many ways, they are huge.
