When the NFCA poll comes out. Going to be a lot of shake up in the poll after a wild first weekend.
#2 Alabama is going to drop a lot after losing 3 times, the only question is how far. My guess is they will be somewhere in the 10-12 range.
#8 Minnesota will fall significantly too after losing to us and Kentucky. Look for them in the 16-18 range.
#14 Northwestern should drop completely out of the top 25 after losing 3 times and barely beating Seattle 1-0.
#21 Ole Miss will of course drop out, and won’t even receive a single vote, after they capped off an 0-5 start with a loss to an 0-4 Liberty team. #23 Auburn is also out after 2 losses, to Baylor 8-0 and Illinois 2-0. #24 Arkansas should be out after an awful loss to Bradley, same with #25 Wisconsin with a loss to Indiana St.
So at least 4 and maybe 5 spots will be open. I think a 5-0 Mizzou team will be somewhere in the 20-22 range. We were the 4th best team receiving votes in the preseason poll. Of the teams above us, Virginia Tech beat no one and lost to Iowa. Oregon went undefeated so they will be ranked. And North Carolina had a great win over Alabama but lost 2 games. We will jump them in the voting too.
