I'm biased as a football fan, but everything I've seen of him after his prison time seems to indicate he's legitimately sorry for his actions and has spent a lot of time and resources to advocate for dogs in the same circumstances he previously kept them in.

Having said that, I have no idea if he's really sorry and "reformed", but his actions seem to back that up.
