If Bill Snyder can turn K State around, which arguably had the worst record in all of major college football until he got there, Coach D can certainly elevate Mizzou to a top tier program. Or at least a second tier program.
As far as all the coaches that got fired, I blame the administrations/athletic directors for hiring a bunch of unproven stiffs. Onofrio didn't have the personality to be a head coach. Powers only had one year's of head coaching experience when he came here. Plus he had other issues. Stull? Well, that was outright moronic. Stull? Almost as bad. Larry Smith? Expert at turning programs around, but bad as sustaining success. And Odom? Again, no head coaching experience and wanted to be the players buddy, not their coach.
