Oh and he has ZERO authority over those funds. The US Congress has laws and precautions in place so that US funds are not sent to dangerous locations - and the Ukraine HAD passed the muster in that case. It was a crime for Trump to order holding of those funds and a CRIME to solicit foreign assistance in a domestic election.

And TO BE CLEAR - he did not for one minute seek to "root out corruption". He sought an official ANNOUNCEMENT of an investigation. There was not one wit of seeking an investigation - merely the announcement of one that would serve Mr Trump in ad campaigns against Joe Biden.
