Mizzou was a rebuild with Pinkel. There was no real success than an off year or 2 in the previous 15. We were a "basketball school". And the Big 12 was more competitive at that point. Drinkwitz might face tougher competition and should be give some time to establish his success. I'm confident he can do that. Since we've been here, the East has been prognaticated it will rise again (see the Confederacy for how that works out) and it's gotten better but. Each year Fla, Tenn, and SC were put out there as this is their year. So I take someone else telling us how we're going to do with a grain of salt.
2nd point is I wouldn't fall in love with Coach Drinkwitz. Not because he won't be successful but he's moved 4 programs in 8 years. As much as I'd like to dream he'll be successful here and build Missouri back to the Pinkel years and beyond, I see Mizzou as a stepping stone for him. Believe me I hope I'm wrong but my gut tells me he already has his goals here and once they're attained he'll use it to move to the next spot in what he sees as his career in coaching. So until shown otherwise, I have medium term expectations of having Coach Drinkwitz.
As Mizzou nation, what we can best do is to improve the commitment and ivolvement of our fanbase and the beautification of our campus. You want to be a storied program? We have to act like one. I'm ****ed about the Ark game being in KC (should be a quality non conference game) but I'll probably go anyway.
