men earlier. You make the case that man is naturally benevolent and cooperative if I remember correctly.
We live in a country where the majority of people have adequate food, water and shelter. So any debate we would have is tinted by this fact.
What happens to your theory when people get really hungry, parched and cold? Does it still hold water? Would you bet your life and your family's lives on it? Would you invite desperate people in? You know circumstances can change rapidly I assume.
I am of the opinion that desperate, starving men suffering from exposure and intent on protecting their families would disregard your natural rights and slit your throat for a loaf of bread and a gallon of water. I could be wrong of course. What do you think?
