Was Norm's time at MU by chance just the right person in the right place at the right time (for the most part), and he took the program about as far as it can reasonably be expected to go? Why has it been so difficult for the program to gain traction again? Why is recruiting and roster stability so hard to come by in CoMO?
I started following as a kid around 1980 and witnessed some fun seasons as many of you here did. I was sorry to see Norm go, but was excited about the Quin hire. Then I was excited about the Mike Anderson hire. Then I mostly gave up until being optimistic about the Martin hire. But now I just don't care about MU basketball although I'd like to. I'm aware of all the publicly known issues over the years, but I don't understand why it's been so hard for what was for a time a basketball school to overcome them and rise up again. Blah blah blah, thanks for reading.
