The problem is, any attempt to have a reasonable discussion on doing so, becomes pointless after a wave of anarchist stupidity demanding zero govt instantly.
They act like small stupid children, stamping their feet until the mean 4.7 trillion dollar govt just sneaks off and vanishes.
Start by closing the deficit, 10 - 15% cut across the board everywhere. Ignore the discretionary/mandatory bullshyte, cut everything.
This won't happen until we default, which will be soon.
