IF it happens, IF mind you, it needs to happen slowly, drive down the age of Medicare 5 years at a time and drive up the income line for Medicaid, take medicaid away form the states.
Much like Medicare, private insurance won't totally go away, gov't will hire them as contractors to run the programs, and there will be piggy back policies to cover what Medicare doesn't. You can't suddenly shift 200,000,000 people from insurance to Medicare
