Once middle - upper middle class fams started seeing their sons and daughters shipped off to wars, they might take more an interest in ending such conflict. Point one.

Point Two - mandatory 1-2 yr service of every American beginning at maybe 18-22 for a form of national service from the military to park services to any of a variety of services. This effort would serve an ancillary funciton of pulling folks together as Americans from diverse and distinct areas - overcoming for a time the polarization so prevalent today. Peace out.
