continue to purchase expensive tax-adjusted imported goods. When Americans switch to cheaper home made products, no tariff is involved and American business prospers. When foreign manufacturers reduce the cost of their goods to compete with domestic products, the foreign importers' margins suffer and U.S. tax coffers grow.
