I get he's predisposed to NOT believe the "intel" (such as been released; which is not much) I get that maybe I am predisposed to believe it.
Having served in combat in Afghan I like to err on the side of protecting US troops, diplomats, aid workers, contractors, etc. That is my bias and I'm fully aware of it.
That being said, because I've been there, I'll be the first to say that I don't think we should be there at all. but I'm a realist too. We are there and we have a responsibility to protect those who are there. And we are able to be proactive to that end, not required to be merely reactive.
There are years of evidence that Soleimani is a threat to the US personnel, Iraqi's, Syrians, many of his own people, etc I get that Pickle would say the same thing about us. And that is a fair argument i suppose.
Like it or not, The Quds are a designated terrorist organization. He was the leader of that organization. What is harder to believe that he just happened to be in Iraq on a peace mission when rocket attacks increased against US targets and when our embassy was attacked by groups with funding from Iran or that he was there directing these operations? Why is it so hard to believe that a guy who had grown so careless and felt he could operate with impunity got caught plotting attacks on US Personnel in the region?
