developing depth is paramount. The more depth, the better. Injuries played a major role in Missouri struggling this year in the inability to run and the inability at times to stop the run. In past years, the recruiting disparity was offset by superior QB play. Not so this year.
While it can be argued talent is in the eye of the beholder, more often than not teams with higher ranked players tend to win more games and compete more often for championships.
With your new coach I am paying particular attention to your strength and conditioning coaches and the offensive and defensive coordinators to see which schemes they want to utilize.
There is a talent disparity that needs to be addressed although Missouri is not bereft of talent. The talent disparity in the short term can be addressed by judious use of the transfer portal particularly grad transfers and supplemented by the judo ranks.
It is next years recruiting class and retention of players that will tell the tale of where the Missouri football program is headed.
I am hopeful that your new coach is up to the challenge.
