not a criminal act or trial. Those are two different things, so your comparison doesn't really hold. My point on impeachment is without a specific crime, we have to look at the act that was unconstutional and see if past presidents were also impeached for it. That does make a difference. As 90 pointed out, we could point back to quite a few presidents who have violated the constitution.
