The alleged Trump "meddling" is based on his asking Ukraine to investigate Biden's corruption in the Ukraine. Even though he didn't actually do that, it would make whether he had a good faith basis, as POTUS, to do so. I believe any POTUS has the right, if not the duty, to inquire into US corruption in foreign countries. And I believe the US has a specific treaty or the like with Ukraine on that very subject.
