contradicting what the prosecutor has already found?

I think he did this preemptively so that when he releases his case he cannot be accused of drumming up a case to discredit Horowitz's findings for Trump. He is not revealing any sensitive information that will harm his case he is simply saying we have information that contradicts the Horowitz findings. And he did it without impugning the Horowitz investigation by saying that they had access to sources that Horowitz did not.
