the Senate trial are a little bit different than a regular prosecution and subsequent trial, they aren't that much different. It is highly unusual to ever have the prosecutor testify at trial. McConnell will likely not want to turn the Senate trial into the three-ring circus that the House GOP tried to turn the hearings into.
