In one case you have a very public, very vocal child who has been placed in the spotlight by her parents and raised as a voice of the issue by those on her side.

For it to be a double standard, you have to be trying to draw a parallel between that and parents in the spotlight who work hard to shield their child from the spotlight so they can be protected and lead a private life.

Are you really trying to draw such a comparison? Do you not understand what a double standard is?
