If parents decide to push their child into the public limelight, particularly in dealing with controversial issues, they cannot rightly claim their child is off limits.

For any public figure, if they work to shield their child from the spotlight so they can simply be a child, it is always wrong for adults to use that child as a tool to get at the parent.
