Drugs have been decriminalized in California since Jan 1, 2015.... the result? Skyrocketing homelessness shoplifting and property crime.
California’s robbery rate jumped 14% from 2014 to 2017; the rest of the country saw a 7% drop.
California’s homeless rose by 23% since 2014... in a booming economy with record low unemployment. In 2014, 20% of the nation’s homeless lived in CA; in 2019 California now accounts for 50% of the nation’s homeless population.
