In Barry Odumbs recruiting classes vs Illinois in the state of Missouri.
Remember Pinkel last recruiting class in the state of Missouri we got 3 of the top 6 players in the state. Illinois didn't get ONE NOT ONE SINGLE D1 players from Missouri.
FAST FORWARD TO ODUMB: 2016 was a bad recruiting year for Missouri no top 300 players.
We skip to 2017
Only 10 D1 players Illinois got 2 guys #4 adn #7
Missouri errr Odumb got 1 #8
WIN FOR ILLINOIS
2018 Win for Mizzou because Illinois got no one. However is that really a win because of the top 300 players Mizzou got ZERO out of FIVE. Western Michigan got the #9 player we don't come into play until the 10th ranked player. In our own state we get one of the top 10 #110.
WIN FOR WESTERN MICHIGAN
2019
There are 5 Top 300 players Illinois gets 2 and Mizzou gets 1. However Illinois gets 3 of the top 7 rated players to Mizzou 1. Somehow Western Michigan again swoops in and snags the #6 player. Of the 34 D1 players Mizzou only manages 6 total. VERY SAD!
WIN ILLINOIS
2020
Of the top 300 Espn recruits Illinois gets ONE Mizzou gets ZERO again. Minnesota out recruits Mizzou snagging the #7 recruit.
We finally come in with two three star guys at #9 and 10.
WIN ILLINOIS AGAIN
If you can't out recruit down and out Illinois in your own state its OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
