the guy basically seemed to float between two positions based on who was questioning him. At the end of the day, I wasn't sure which one was true.

Here's one for you. Why did Trump actually use the phrase, no quid pro quo on the phone? Do you think it's because someone pointed out to him that it was a problem, or do you think that it occurred to him naturally?
