The excuse that Missouri doesn't produce much talent is hollow.
It's specifically because of Missouri's talent base that we can be great annually. It's why Ohio State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin and Notre Dame practically have offices in our state.
We don't have enough to only recruit Missouri players. But we have far more than most states, where if we just kept players in state and the supplemented the rest from the SEC states/Texas, then we would have a huge advantage over most schools.
It's precisely why we were so good in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2013 and 2014.
Our 2007 team had Chase Daniel and then 10 Missouri players starting on offense.
We got the best in-state players with very few exceptions and we combined that with Texas and SEC states.
