2020 season: Make or Break season for Odom

On paper this Mizzou team looks pretty good next year considering we return 14 starters and have plenty of depth at key positions. A lot rests on the QB situation. IMO we have a solid starter in Robinson or Bazelak. We have plenty of young talent at WR but we need Knox and Scott to really take it to the next level. If we can have a couple of the younger guys step up that would go a long way. Having 3 guys at 6’3+ (Massey, Boone, Hester) will really help whoever ends up with the starting QB gig. Look for Gicinto and Maclin to play at the slot. I think Albert O goes to the draft but I like what I’ve seen from Daniel Parker Jr. and I think someone else steps up (between Swinson/Scales/Hea). The OL could be a tricky situation w/ losing Durant and Tre’Vour but I think it’ll get figured out. We return our whole d-line (barring any transfer or draft entries). The pass rush needs to be better and hopefully another offseason will help that. Plenty of depth so that’s not something to worry about. Bolton is our best player and it will be fun to watch him lead this defense. Hopefully someone steps up at MLB (I like what I’ve seen from Nicholson considering he’s a freshman). We return a lot of talent in the secondary and they’ve played decently this year.
Ultimately, this is Odom’s make or break season. A lot rides on the offense’s ability to score points. The defense should be better and hopefully the D-Line is better at the pass rush. I think a couple young WR’s have breakout seasons. I think Dooley will be replaced and hopefully by someone who knows wtf they are doing. I see us at 9-3 IF we can figure out the QB situation.
