a lot more control over the standard wooden grips. (Which I still have--those original walnut grips are valuable to collectors and increase the value of the gun).

Same for my 4" revolvers. Pachmyrs are a better fit for my hand and make a difference in control. Even my dept issued guns always had the wooden grips switched out.

When I bought my Springfield I was actually shopping for a M&P but held it in my hand and then a Springfield. The Springfield was a far better fit.
