Very first time at the range in the academy and we have 3 targets per shooter set up and probably 5 shooters on the line at a time.
Course of fire was 25 yard line 6 rounds kneeling, unload reload, 6 rounds strong hand from the right side of the barricade (think of a door standing on a support), 6 rounds weak hand from the left side of the barricade. 75 seconds.
Targets were already set up and weren't evenly spaced apart.
Move to 15 yards and it's 2 rounds on each target, left, center, right, unload/reload right, center, left. I can't recall the time--pretty quick though.
Move the the 10 yard line for the next volley at which time the range master comes up behind me and moves me to the left. Those 2 previous cycles I had been shooting at the shooter's 2 targets as if they were my right and center targets because they were spaced as if they were grouped with my right target. So I had put about 20 rounds on his targets.
Oops.
