football is a mess again, recruiting has been at or near the bottom of the SEC, our presumably new coach (hopefully ), even if he’s a known recruiting ace will take several yrs to build his own team ...and in hoops I think Martin seems to be the right man for the job but his recent recruiting underperformance makes it hard to get excited about the next couple of years at least. I know we’ll never consistently recruit like the Ohio States of the world but man, we just don’t have enough talent coming in! Students and fans I know are mostly apathetic towards the upcoming hoops season, fatigued by all the Porter drama and disappointment , our lame schedule, and news that recruiting has well stunk lately. Then to see other lesser programs in my mind making better coaching hires and playing smarter than us it adds insult to injury.
Someone please convince me that we have something good to look forward to in either of the two sports most alums, fans and students give a crap about. Please tell me how you stay optimistic about what we’ll have to cheer for over the next 2-3 yrs at least. Just is depressing short/intermediate term outlook if you ask me if you’re a true MU die hard fan
Just hard to get excited about anything MU related. Guess you have to have the patience of Job to be a MU optimist
