what's going on, can likely get the information from a committee member in their party if they so desire. If I'm an R and a committee member wouldn't give me a heads up, then I'd be ****ed if they let me stretch my neck out for the POTUS or against the POTUS (as the case may be) only to get it chopped off. I doubt they'd do that because they wouldn't want to risk the seat.

The prudent approach is to say, I support the President unless and until the Committee investigation gives me a reason not to do so. At the present time, I have seen no reason to impeach, but I reserve judgment until the process runs it's course.

Of course, very few will do that.
