The first point and stop the deflection. How was the Nixon "trial" open and it is just a republican talking point that inquiry was open that many here don't understand.
Answer: you didn't mistake something in haste, it is what you believed until you looked up the Nixon impeachment.
Now you are deflecting. The fact that Nixon impeqchment facts started in the Senate versus house is irrelevant. If any committee had evidence of high crimes and misdemeanors worthy of impeachment they should bring it to the house. Then guess what happens, or has happened in all modern day impeachments? The House votes on it, and they actually have an inquiry into the charges.
Now you can say a vote is no longer needed given powers of the committee. Fine, in which case I will counter that all the house is engaged in is oversight
