2004-05 were the first scores reported and MU received a 938. 925 was the cutoff at the time for incurring penalties. In 2006 a score of 900 was the cut score in the APR under which teams would be subject to “historically based” penalties based on the team’s four-year APR. It wasn't moved to the 930 threshold until 2011.

So no, it was a non-issue at that point in time.
