Multiple presidents that had a House and Senate of opposite control. Or to at least impeach them and force the Senate trial.

That would be politiciting the impeachment process. What has occured up to this point and intended by the Founders was the opposite of politization of the impeachment process. It was basically a somewhat partisan legal process
