But I also think the team thinks that too - regardless of the coach's mantra about one second at a time so on.

If the players think they're going to crush Vandy (even just a little bit), then that makes this a trap game.

And you know it too.

Stop setting up this straw man about 'expecting Vandy to win', that has nothing to with trap games.

It's just the opposite. It's about your team expecting to beat the other team, and therefore, dropping their focus just enough to lose.
