He could make more money with the vagabond overseas route, but could also bounce around the NBA D-league for a while and eventually earn a call up.

Its unfortunate he felt compelled to leave when he did. Both he and Micheal left at the most inopportune time available to them and their draft and long term NBA career potential was correspondingly detrimentally impacted. Hopefully they are both able to overcome those decisions.
