Many fan bases feel cursed in some way. Atlanta sports fans have suffered a lot, merely because they get so close, really get their hopes up with a great team (Braves in the 90s, UGA a couple of years ago, Falcons a couple of years ago), and they are dashed, violently.

Anyway, I agree. I'm just tired of the self-loathing. Let's get on with the season!
