to be solved. If we could geographically have a conference like the Big 12 but with an equitable governing structure and its own network not the LHN crap and all the backstabbing drama, I'd love for the Big 12 to still be around.
That isn't reality unfortunately, but the idea of adding the state of Texas to the existing Big Eight was cool and it for awhile it worked out really well for Mizzou football in particular. Chase Daniel, Sean Weatherspoon, Danario Alexander, #1 ranking, etc etc. All of that was from being affiliated with the State of Texas in a leauge.
We have to fool ourselves into thinking we care about games against South Carolina, Vandy etc and that games against Nebraska, ku, Oklahoma etc never meant anything. It's all delusional. We had to leave because the Big 12 was imploding, and there is a temporary thrill in playing an Alabama or Georgia, but overall we have to manufacture reasons to be super stoked about the SEC.
