Bruce: Williams and Dickson have two years of eligibility each. Dufficy has 1 year, and is the logical replacement for Amber Smith. She’s also a two time all conference player. It’s highly likely Williams will be the starting center for two years, but that’s speculation by me.
So it’s a little more eligibility than you are thinking.
Kelsey Winfrey was never going to get significant minutes at Mizzou. Akira wasn’t going to play this season if she stayed. Tahane would get minutes this year if she stayed. She could have been important too as we don’t know how much we can get out of Linthacum and Garner this season.
I guess what I’m getting at is I believe the trade of the transfers will be significantly in Mizzou’s favor. It may not work out that way this year.
I just remembered Grace Berg transferred in the winter semester last year. That’s a significant player and kinda throws a different perspective to it all. Grace would have really helped this year. She’s probably going to be a very good 3 year player for Drake
If Garner, Schucts, and Linthacum combine to play well we won’t miss Berg quite so much. That’s a big if!
