When politicians are out to crucify you for doing your job it makes it hard to be really gungho about your work. When your own chief hangs you out to dry just to appease the politicians it makes it hard to do your job.

When your DA throws out cases left and right for ridiculous reasons it makes it hard to put yourself at risk for doing selective enforcement.
