Not sure that is the problem

There are multiple solutions for diabetes and many are now generic, yet prices still continue to boom.

I think there are two big problems

1. Since every other country controls prices, they make up their margin on USA...so essentially USA is subsidizing other countries' healthcare

2. There are few incentives to decrease health care costs. Insurance companies just pass the price on through rates. If insurance companies truly competed for both best cost and best quality, they would have incentive to negotiate harder with big pharma.

Both of the above are the result of huge government intervention.

Government needs to detach itself from healthcare control and regulations
